The Anritsu MS2080A builds on Anritsu’s pioneering history of developing reliable and dependable instruments for the world’s most demanding RF measurements in the toughest environments. Weighing less than 9 pounds (4 kg), the MS2080A is small, compact, and easy to carry.

When hunting for interfering RF signals in the field, MS2080A offers a wide range of features to identify and locate the source. A fast sweep speed of 45 GHz/s coupled with AM/FM demod and RF source geolocation help pinpoint the position of interfering signals fast. The optional real-time spectrum analyzer captures even the shortest of bursted or TDD signals and the addition of the S331P Site Master enables cable and antenna line sweep measurements on the same instrument.

LTE and 5G base station measurement options support operators and contractors perform the essential measurements when installing or optimizing the network.

For use on the bench, the hard case with rubberized easy grip bumpers and integrated kick stand makes the MS2080A an ideal instrument for general purpose lab measurements where portability and space are at a premium.

Master MS2080A builds on Anritsu’s pioneering history of developing reliable and dependable instruments for the world’s most demanding RF measurements in the toughest environments. Designed to withstand the knocks and blows inevitable when working at remote transmitter sites.

Weighing less than 4 kg, the Field Master MS2080A is small, compact, and easy to carry. An optional shoulder harness attaches to the supplied soft case to ease long-term use outdoors, especially with over six hours of continuous operation when adding the extended power pack. An environmental rating of IP52 in the soft case protects the instrument from dust and water, ensuring it is always ready to make the measurements you need in the location you need them.

Applications

  • Interference hunting and spectrum clearing – fast sweep speeds a low distortion front-end and the Real Time spectrum analyzer combine to quickly identify interfering signals. A special interference finder option adds AM/FM demodulation with audio output plus interfering source triangulation on a digital map to pinpoint and identify the location and source of interference.
  • Broadcast transmitter analysis – a comprehensive range of transmitter measurements – including: harmonic, spurious, occupied bandwidth, channel power, and adjacent channel power – ensures conformity to regulatory requirements
  • 5GNR base station measurement – validate the performance of the gNB base station with essential measurements that are in full compliance with 3GPP TS 38.104 V15, including:
    • frequency error
    • time offset
    • cell/sector ID
    • SSB: RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, RSSI
    • modulation quality EVM
    • unwanted emissions
    • occupied bandwidth
    • adjacent channel leakage ratio

  • 5G/LTE coverage mapping – receive a clear representation of the signal strength of 5G/LTE transmitters over intended geographic area by continuously measuring RF data – including RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, channel power – with results graphically displayed on a digital map or building floor plan.
